While I cannot speak specifically to your situation since I don't know all of the details, most are not taking that long these days. There are a couple of items that can be holding it up... 1. If the SS is in the HAFA program this can really slow it down (though this wasn't the original intent of HAFA). 2. If the home has multiple loans and banks to deal with. Good luck. The closing date has been pushed back twice. It is now July and it is still in process. Our realtor has no idea what is happening so we found the negotiator between the seller and the banks. She tells us to be patience but we're coming up on 7 months now and still no closing. What is taking so long? I just want to scream! Its hard to let go after waiting so long.
